When integration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War happened, both Rebirth Island and Verdansk 84 were added. With it coming alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard’s integration, this made perfect sense, as it would line up with what was done in the past. Since the Pacific Island map was confirmed, everyone had assumed that it would be set in World War 2. While the screenshots of the new Pacific Island map seem to indicate that the wait was worth it, the map’s setting might not be what Call of Duty: Warzone players were expecting. Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been waiting patiently for a Verdansk replacement, as they have been playing on versions of the original map for over a year and a half.
